Baz Luhrman’s Romeo and Juliet: Movie Review

Romeo + Juliet Movie evaluation The film “Romeo + Juliet” was launched in 1996, with Baz Luhrman as director. This is one of the most popular love plays written by Shakespeare, screenplay was by Craig Pearce. Romeo and Juliet is a film about prohibited love and how tragic love can end.

The film was shot in Miami, but most of all in Mexico. The primary actors are Leonardo DiCaprio as Romeo and Claire Danes as Juliet. Romeo and Juliet has to do with two teens that fall madly and deeply in love in Verona, italy, it occurs in the present time.

Romeo is an 18 years of ages, bad rebel and son of the Montague family. He has chestnut hair, soft olive skin, lovely blue eyes and a figured out but kind mind. Juliet is an 18 years of ages, rich daughter of the Capulets. Juliet has long dark hair, stunning green eyes and clear pearl skin. She does not like being pressed into doing things she cant decide for herself. Juliet enjoys Romeo and vise versa. As if it weren’t enough issues with relationships at a young age, their families were terrific enemies. This makes it physically difficult to for them to be together.

This particular movie is a restored version of the actual story written by Shakespeare. For that reason you can relate a bit more to the stars actions and drama. Romeo is a clever person, and develop some creative ideas for the two of them to meet. In one of his last attempts to end the “war” in between their families, something goes absolutely wrong and damages their possibilities forever. The music and sound was made and set by Nellee Hooper. The sound impacts were truly intense and aggressive, but that just made the story come more to life.

The way they talked was incredibly special, it set the mood of Shakespeare’s originality and authenticity. The message the film wanted to offer was that you ought to always follow what you want. Forbidden love is possible to make just love, you just have to battle with everything you have. When teenagers get figured out about something they do not forget it easily. “Romeo + Juliet” will constantly be an incredible and beautiful romance, that many can relate to. I enjoyed the stress between the two families and the issues that kept on coming throughout the film.

I was really exited whenever Romeo and Juliet were covertly meeting. The frighting thought of being captured and eliminated was constantly there. The only thing that was challenging to understand was the language. In the movie they talked the initial “old english” that Shakespeare used in his time. It was difficult to comprehend everything they said. Considering that I had become aware of the story and read it before, I understood what was going to occur. Over all Romeo & & Juliet is a lovely love story that will never ever be forgotten.
