The book starts in Manhattan, New york city in modern times. The book mainly happens in New York city however throughout the book they also travel to London, England, cypress point medical spa, and several other locations. The book ends back in Manhattan, New York City.

CHARACTERS:

Alvirah Meehan is a previous housemaid that is near her sixties and has quit her job after her and her partner struck it rich in the winning of the lottery game. Alvirah began taking interest in helping people with murders and other problems that she ran across while traveling throughout the world. After she had actually won the lottery game the New york city Globe news paper had asked her to discuss all of her various adventures.

Willy Meehan is around his sixties, he has blue eyes with white hair. Willy is a previous plumbing who quit his task after wining the lottery game with his wife Alvirah. Willy takes pleasure in taking a trip with Alvirah to all the different places. He is really encouraging and assist full to Alvirah in her interest of helping others with there criminal activities. Cynthia Lathem was condemned for the murder of her father in the 2nd story. All of it happened when she remained in her junior year of the Rhode Island School of Design when her action daddy Stuart Richards was discovered shot to death in the study of his mansion. Cynthia invested 12 years in jail for the murder. She spent the time thinking and asking herself “who might have set me up.” Cynthia understood that she was innocent which’s when she fulfill Alvirah who was the answer to all her problems because she will help show her innocence. Cynthia showed her innocence and after that went on to marry and enjoy her life.

Rhonda Alvirez the winner of 6 million dollars. She was latter cheated out of the cash by her spouse when he swapped the ticket with a ticket purchased by the girl he had actually believed he fell in love with. A lady that he had actually been having an affair with. His objectives where to run off with her, but things left hand and he was eliminated. Rhonda then became the main suspect in the murder only to make things worse in her life. Once again Alvirah was to the rescue she fulfill her and Alvirah began to take over by going through her criminal offense fixing techniques. With the help of Alvirah Rhonda was discovered not guilty and received the 6 million dollars that was so rightfully hers.

Plot:

The book begins with Alvirah and willy returning from their trip from England just after they struck it abundant in the lotto. Alvirah takes interest in fixing crimes and murders so at each trip she ends up in getting herself into something or another handling criminal activity. She helps many individuals throughout the book where it ends back in New York where she resolves her last criminal offense.

Style:

The theme of the book was that Alvirah in how she won the lotto and found herself to be great at crime resolving as she takes a trip the world helping people in addition to in her home town Manhattan, New york city. She wished to be apart of whatever no matter how much harm it would bring to herself. There was at least one time in the book where she nearly had her own life taken by another person while attempting to help resolve a criminal offense. I believe that Alvirah learns in this book that she might have been a lot better investigator than simply a cleaning lady.

Opinion:

The book was extremely interesting. It was always tough to find a location to stop reading. The book was very suspenseful always leaving you to guess what could possible occur next. I was always on the edge of my chair waiting and questioning what might perhaps occur next. I would advise the book to anybody that enjoys reading suspenseful books.
